Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort is a 4-star resort in Palm Beach with 100 rooms rated 4.1/5 by 500 TripAdvisor reviewers; typical rates from about $900 a night; direct beach access; kids' club on site.

About

Divi Dutch Village sits on the low-rise hotel stretch of J.E. Irausquin Boulevard, sharing beach access with its all-inclusive sibling property next door. At #5 among Oranjestad hotels, it consistently scores high on cleanliness and sleep quality — both above 4.4 — which matters when you're choosing a place to decompress for a week. The layout leans residential: two-story clusters of rooms and villas rather than a single tower, with poolside barbecues and more space to spread out than you'd get at the high-rises up north. Service and value ratings both land above 4.0, and the Travelers Choice recognition for 2026 suggests repeat guests are finding what they came for. Location scores well too, which tracks — the beach here is wider and calmer than Palm Beach, and you're close to the southern dive sites. It's a solid middle option if you want beachfront without the scene or the all-in meal plan. Prices sit at the top tier, so expect resort fees and the usual upsells.

Hotel Riu Palace Aruba

Hotel Riu Palace Aruba sits on Palm Beach, right in the high-rise strip where most of the island's all-inclusive resorts cluster. It's a mid-pack option at #22 among 26 hotels in the area, which tells you it's not the top tier but it covers the basics. The location subrating is strong at 4.7 — you're steps from the beach and the Palm Beach restaurant strip — but sleep quality lags at 3.9, which tracks with what you'd expect from a large resort property where noise can be a factor. The all-inclusive setup means you're paying upfront for food and drinks, and at the $$$$ price level, it's positioning itself as premium within the Riu chain. Service scores decently at 4.2, and cleanliness is solid. The value rating sits at 3.9, so you're not getting a steal, but you are getting access to Palm Beach without hunting for dinner reservations. If you want the convenience of all-inclusive and don't need to be at the top-ranked property, it does what it says.

Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort

Divi Aruba Phoenix sits on the high-rise strip where Palm Beach bleeds into Eagle Beach, which gives you the hotel-zone energy with better sand access. The #7 spot out of 26 in the area tracks with the 4.7 location rating—you're walking distance to restaurants and casinos, but the beach is the real anchor here. Sleep quality and cleanliness both land at 4.5, which matters in a condo-style resort where you're spending more time in the room than you would at an all-inclusive. The $$$$ price tier puts it in line with the other Phoenix-branded properties, and back-to-back Travelers Choice awards suggest it's holding steady. Service sits at 4.4, so don't expect white-glove resort treatment, but the value rating matches, meaning guests feel they're getting what they paid for. If you want the Palm Beach location without the mega-resort footprint, this slots in cleanly.

Hotel Riu Palace Antillas

The Riu Palace Antillas is an all-inclusive resort on Palm Beach, the high-rise strip where most of the island's big hotels cluster. It ranks #19 out of 26 in the area, which is middle of the pack, but the location score is high—you're right on the beach with shallow, swimmable water and close to the casino and restaurant row. Service rates better than rooms or value here, which tracks with the all-inclusive model: staff keeps things moving, but you're not getting boutique-level finishes or quiet. Sleep quality comes in at 4.3, cleanliness at 4.4—solid but not exceptional. The Travelers Choice awards in 2025 and 2026 suggest consistent performance year over year, even if it's not topping the rankings. If you want Palm Beach access without hunting for dinner reservations every night, this works. Just know you're trading some refinement for convenience and the buffet line.

Eagle Beach

Madame Janette

Madame Janette sits just inland from Eagle Beach on Cunucu Abao, and it's been a fixture in Aruba's upscale dining scene for years. The #33 ranking among Palm-Eagle Beach restaurants tells part of the story — the 4.5 food rating and 4.4 atmosphere score show it still has defenders, but the 4.1 value rating and volume of feedback suggest the experience doesn't always land. Travelers consistently mention two things: no air conditioning in a tropical climate, and bugs. The outdoor setting is part of the concept, but humidity and insects are real factors if you're sensitive to either. The international menu aims for special-occasion polish, and the restaurant handles large groups, which matters if you're planning a celebration dinner and need a guaranteed table. But standards have slipped enough that regulars now point to Passions On The Beach for romance on the sand or Barefoot for more consistent upscale cooking. Reservations required. Expect top-tier prices.

Oranjestad

The West Deck

The West Deck sits right on the water at Governor's Bay Linear Park in Oranjestad, a casual spot where the harbor breeze does most of the work. The #15 ranking among Oranjestad restaurants tracks with what the subratings say — the atmosphere (4.8) pulls slightly ahead of the food (4.6), which tells you the location isn't just backdrop. The menu splits between American, Caribbean, and seafood, so you can go fried snapper or a burger depending on the mood. It earned Travelers Choice in 2025, and over 5,500 reviews have landed on 4.6 overall. Service runs at 4.7, which means you're not waiting forever for a refill, and the mid-range price tier keeps it accessible without feeling like a tourist trap. It's kid-friendly if you need that, though plenty of adults stop in solo for a beer and conch fritters at sunset. No reservations required — walk up, grab a table if one's open, and you're set.

Oranjestad

Barefoot Restaurant

Barefoot sits right on L.G. Smith Boulevard in Oranjestad, claiming the #37 spot among local restaurants and a 2025 Travelers Choice award. The upscale Caribbean-seafood-international menu runs at the top price tier, but unlike Madame Janette or The Flying Fishbone, you can walk in without a reservation — which is the entire appeal if you're staying in Palm Beach and want something nicer without the planning. The catch: noise. A neighboring club sends music across the dining area often enough that conversation becomes work, and beachside tables don't always deliver the views you'd expect at this price point. The 4.6 food rating tells part of the story — experiences vary more than they should. Service and atmosphere both score higher, so execution on those fronts is steadier. If spontaneity matters more than guaranteed quiet or sightlines, Barefoot works. If you're after the romantic beachfront meal without interruptions, Passions On The Beach handles that better without the sound bleed.

Beaches nearby

Eagle Beach

Eagle Beach runs along the southwestern coast between the high-rise strip and the airport, and it's consistently ranked among the Caribbean's best beaches. The sand is white and wide, the water is calm and swimmable, and the iconic divi divi trees lean sideways from decades of trade winds — those same winds that earned it four Travelers Choice awards also mean you'll deal with blowing sand most afternoons. The #5 ranking among Palm-Eagle Beach attractions reflects what it does well: fewer crowds than Palm Beach, better sand than most hotel beaches, and enough space that you can claim a spot without stepping over tourists. It's popular with couples and wedding parties for a reason — the divi divis photograph beautifully and the vibe is quieter than the action up north. Snorkeling is unremarkable here; the marine life and visibility don't compete with Baby Beach or Malmok. If you're bringing small kids, the wind can turn a beach day into a sand-in-everything situation. Visit early if you want calmer conditions.

Eagle Beach

Manchebo Beach

Manchebo Beach is part of the Eagle Beach stretch on the southwest coast, positioned between the divi divi landmarks to the north and the quieter Druif Beach shoreline to the south. It takes the #3 spot among Palm - Eagle Beach attractions, but the crowd level stays moderate — you're not fighting for towel space the way you might at Palm Beach's high-rise strip. The differentiator here is Spa del Sol, which brings massage services directly onto the sand. If you want to book a treatment without leaving your beach chair, this is the only spot on the island where that setup is formalized. The beach also sees occasional sea turtle hatchlings during nesting season, though it's not a guarantee. Swimming and snorkeling are both decent but not the headline — neither approaches what you'd find at Baby Beach's protected lagoon or Malmok's coral formations. If wellness amenities matter more than nightlife proximity or family-friendly shallows, Manchebo makes sense. Otherwise, standard Eagle Beach access a few hundred meters north delivers similar sand and water without the spa angle.
