Do I need a power adapter or converter in Aruba?
Updated May 21, 2026
The answer
Aruba uses U.S.-style plugs (Type A and Type B) and 120V/60Hz electricity — identical to the United States and Canada. Travelers from those countries plug right in with no adapter or converter needed. European, U.K., Australian, and other travelers need a Type A or B adapter. Voltage converters are only needed for dual-voltage devices (most modern phone chargers, laptops, and electronics auto-handle 110–240V — check the label). Resorts often have a few loaner adapters at the front desk if you forget.
