About

The Vue sits on a rooftop in Noord, a few minutes from the high-rise strip. The atmosphere and service subratings run higher than the food score, which tells you what you're here for — the setting and the view do most of the work. It ranks #89 among Noord restaurants, solidly mid-pack. The American menu keeps it accessible and kid-friendly, and the casual vibe means you can show up in beachwear if you're coming straight from the sand. Prices land in the moderate range, though the value subrating suggests you're paying a bit for the elevation. Service is attentive enough to match the atmosphere score. If you want a sunset drink and something uncomplicated to eat without fighting for a reservation, it works. Just temper expectations on the food itself — it's competent, not the reason to climb the stairs.

Tours & things to do nearby

Fofoti Tours & Transfers

Fofoti Tours & Transfers holds the #1 spot among Oranjestad outdoor activities, and the nearly 6,300 reviews at 4.9 stars back that up. This is a land-based tour — expect a four-hour ride through Aruba's rougher terrain at a moderate intensity level. The operation earned Travelers Choice for 2025, which tracks with the consensus that the guides know the island and handle groups well. Most tours in this format cover the national park side or interior desert stretches where rental sedans can't go. At around $75, it's priced in the middle of the island's UTV and safari offerings, which means it's not the budget slog but also not padded with upsells. The reviews suggest punctuality and vehicle condition are both solid. If you want off-road access without planning the logistics yourself, this is the reliable pick.

AGW Tours & Services

From $89 per person

AGW Tours & Services runs one of the most booked full-island tours on Aruba — four hours that hit the Natural Bridge ruins, the Bushiribana gold mill, and a climb up Hooiberg if you're game for 560 steps. The #14 ranking among outdoor activities in Oranjestad reflects what you'd expect: a solid loop with a decent guide, stops at the postcard spots, and enough off-road driving to feel like you saw more than the hotel strip. The 4.8 rating across 2,200+ reviews suggests consistency. Most groups run in open-air Land Cruisers, which means dust and sun — bring a hat. The intensity sits at moderate; you'll walk short distances and climb if you choose, but nothing technical. At $85, it's priced in the middle of the UTV and bus tours, and AGW handles booking direct rather than farming it out to a reseller. If you want the northern coast, the volcanic formations, and a guide who knows the roads, this does the job without gimmicks.

Conchi Natural Pool

Conchi sits on the rugged north-east coast inside Arikok National Park, and getting there is half the point. You need a four-wheel-drive or an organized UTV tour to handle the rocky track through the desert terrain. The pool itself is a volcanic rock formation where waves crash over the rim at high tide, filling a natural basin with churning seawater. It's dramatic, not gentle—this isn't a swimming pool. Timing matters: calmer days mean you can actually get in without being tossed around, rough swells mean you watch from the rocks. The #2 ranking in Santa Cruz reflects the fact that people make the trip. Wear shoes that can get wet, bring water, and expect to be sore if you're driving yourself. The park charges an entry fee. Go early if you want it less crowded, though "crowded" here is relative—it's still remote enough that you'll have space.

Wacky Wahoo's

Wacky Wahoo's sits along the main road in Noord, and the name tells you what you're getting into — this is casual seafood, nothing fussy. It ranks #13 out of 161 restaurants in Noord and picked up a Travelers' Choice award in 2025, which lines up with the 4.7 food rating and over 3,200 reviews. The menu leans Caribbean and seafood, and the mid-tier pricing means you're not spending Barefoot or Flying Fishbone money. The upside is you can walk in without a reservation, order something fried or grilled, and leave without drama. The 3.8 atmosphere rating is honest — it's a casual spot, not a date-night setup. Service sits at 4.5, which is solid but not flawless, and a few reports mention slow turns during peak hours. If you want reliable seafood in Noord without the planning or the upscale bill, this works.

Garden Fresh Cafe

Garden Fresh Cafe is inside the Playa Linda Beach Resort on the high-rise strip, but it's not a poolside grill — it's a counter-service café that shows up at #10 of 161 Noord restaurants for a reason. The 4.8 atmosphere score makes sense once you see the setup: light, casual, zero fuss. People bring kids. Nobody's stressed. The menu leans healthy without pretending you wandered into a juice cleanse. The 4.6 food and value ratings hold across a thousand-plus reviews, which suggests consistency more than flash. It's café-style, so you order at the counter, grab a table, and the staff brings it out. Service scores a 4.5, which tracks for that format. Budget-friendly at one dollar sign, and it works for breakfast or lunch if you're staying nearby or just off the beach. The Travelers Choice nod for 2025 confirms it's doing something right — likely just keeping it simple and not overthinking it.

Che Bar

Che Bar sits in the Paseo Herencia Mall in Noord, steps from the high-rise hotels on Palm Beach. It's a casual bar and café that punches above typical mall fare—the #25 ranking among Noord restaurants and a 4.7 service rating tell that story. The menu leans bar classics and café staples, nothing fussy, and the kitchen turns out food that holds up to the atmosphere, both sitting at a solid 4.5. Prices land in the moderate range, and the place works for families; you'll see kids here alongside couples killing time before dinner reservations elsewhere. The real draw is consistency. Walk-ins are fine, the staff keeps things moving, and the value rating suggests you're getting what you pay for without surprises on the check. It's a reliable mid-day or early evening stop when you want something decent without leaving the Paseo Herencia complex.

Santa Cruz

Mammaloe's B&B

Mammaloe's sits inland in Santa Cruz, a fifteen-minute drive from the coast, which keeps the price honest and the crowds elsewhere. The #1 ranking among Santa Cruz B&Bs comes down to service and value — both subratings hit 4.7 and 4.8 respectively, and the owner clearly runs a tight operation. Rooms are simple but well-kept, and the 4.6 room score reflects that. The 4.2 sleep quality rating is a half-point below everything else, so light sleepers might want to ask about room placement. This isn't a beach resort. You're here for a quiet base, a personal welcome, and a breakfast worth waking up for. The location rating of 4.5 makes sense — you'll need a car to reach Eagle Beach or the high-rises, but you're also closer to the Arikok trails and the windward coast. If you want less polish and more neighborhood, Mammaloe's delivers.

Santa Cruz

Fuego Mio Bed & Breakfast

Fuego Mio is a small bed and breakfast tucked into Santa Cruz, Aruba's central plateau—inland, away from the beaches and hotel strips. With just ten rooms, it's the kind of place where the owner probably knows your name by breakfast on day two. That 5.0 service rating isn't a fluke. The subratings tell the story: rooms and cleanliness both hit 4.8, and value comes in at the same mark, which makes sense at $350 a night in a part of the island where you're paying for intimacy over ocean views. Beach access is by shuttle, so you're trading walkability for quiet and a lower party score. If you want to wake up on sand, stay on the coast. If you want to wake up somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood and less like a resort compound, this works. It's ranked #2 of two B&Bs in Santa Cruz, which mostly means there aren't many options like this on the island at all.

Savaneta

Paradise Found

Paradise Found sits at Pos Chiquito on the south-east end of the island, away from the high-rise strip. It's a small operation — eleven reviews all handing out perfect or near-perfect scores across sleep quality, service, value, and cleanliness. The #9 ranking among Oranjestad B&Bs undersells what those subratings suggest: when every category lands above 4.8, something's working. The location rating of 4.9 makes sense given the address. Pos Chiquito isn't walking distance to the main beaches or the nightlife zone, but it's quiet, and guests who want that seem to find it. The 5.0 for value tells you the price isn't scaring anyone off relative to what they're getting. Eleven reviews is a limited sample, but when sleep quality and service both hit 5.0, it's worth noting. This isn't a place trying to be everything to everyone.

Fermins Bar BBQ

Fermins Bar BBQ sits in Noord, away from the beach hotel zone, and runs as a straightforward neighborhood grill. The menu skews steakhouse and American barbecue — ribs, burgers, chicken — and the price point stays low enough to pull locals and repeat visitors who just want something grilled without the resort markup. It's ranked #70 out of 161 Noord restaurants, which puts it firmly mid-pack, but the value subrating runs higher than everything else at 4.1. The portions are honest, the vibe is casual, and families show up without worrying about dress codes or reservations. Service and food both sit near 3.9, so expect competent but not polished. If you're staying nearby and want ribs or a burger without the tourist-district pricing, Fermins works. Just set expectations accordingly — this is a local joint doing the basics, not a standout.

Noord

Arashi Beach Shack

Arashi Beach Shack sits on the sand at Arashi Beach on the northwest tip of the island, past the high-rises, where the coast turns quiet. The menu is bar basics—burgers, wings, simple American fare—and most people come for the location and a cold drink between beach rounds, not a standout meal. The 4.2 atmosphere rating tells the real story; you're ordering at the counter and eating with your toes in the sand. The food scores are middling, which tracks with what you get at dollar-sign beach shacks: functional, not impressive. It's kid-friendly and walk-up casual—no reservations, no fuss. If you're anchored at Arashi for the afternoon and need something beyond what you packed, it does the job. Just set expectations to match the price point and the format. You're paying for convenience and the view, not a culinary moment.
