About

Eduardo's Beach Shack is a beachfront spot on Eagle Beach, right on the sand where J.E. Irausquin Boulevard curves past the low-rise zone. It's budget-level, but the 4.9 food rating tells you Eduardo isn't cutting corners—healthy Caribbean plates that punch above the dollar-sign tier. The Travelers Choice award and #21 ranking in a competitive stretch make sense when you see the subratings stacked that high across food, service, and value. The vibe is exactly what the name promises: casual, open-air, feet-in-the-sand seating. Families show up because it works for kids and the prices don't sting. The 4.6 atmosphere score reflects the trade-off—you're here for the location and the straightforward execution, not for polished decor. Service moves at 4.8, which is rare at this price point. No reservations needed. Show up, order at the counter, and find a table. If you're staying nearby on Eagle Beach and want something quick that doesn't feel like a compromise, this is the answer.

ABC Tours Aruba

From $130 per person

ABC Tours Aruba operates out of Oranjestad and has held the #3 spot among outdoor activities in the capital for a reason — it's a full-day commitment. The standard safari runs seven hours, which is longer than most competitors, and covers Arikok National Park, the natural pool, caves, and a handful of beaches in one loop. That scope explains the $150 price point, which is about double what shorter half-day land tours charge elsewhere on the island. The back-to-back Travelers Choice awards and the volume of reviews point to consistent execution, and the guides get mentioned often — not just for driving, but for pacing the day so it doesn't feel like a forced march. Families book this because the private routes skip the roughest terrain and can accommodate infants, which matters if you're trying to see the interior without bounce-testing a car seat. If you're on a cruise, ABC coordinates timing around port schedules. If you'd rather spend half the day at a beach club, this isn't that.

De Palm Tours

From $108 per person

De Palm Tours runs a private beach club on the west coast near Oranjestad, and it's built around water activities — think slides, banana boats, snorkeling gear, and a roped-off swimming area. The #5 ranking among Oranjestad transportation reflects that this isn't just a shuttle service; most visitors book the half-day beach package that includes cabanas, towels, and food service. The back-to-back Travelers Choice awards suggest consistency, and the 4.8 rating across 26,000+ reviews backs that up. The setup skews family-friendly. Kids get underwater activities in shallow zones, parents get palapas with shade and beverage service. It's beach entertainment, not wilderness — no natural pools or cave hikes like the UTV tours that head into Arikok. Duration runs around four hours, which is enough for the slides and a meal without burning the whole day. Note that the flamingo interactions cost extra, and cabana rentals are mandatory with the package. If you want inland exploration, this isn't it. If you want a contained beach day with activities included, it does the job.

RockaBeach Tours

From $162 per person

RockaBeach Tours runs out of Oranjestad and consistently pulls top marks — #7 among all outdoor activities in the area, with back-to-back Travelers Choice awards and a 4.9 from nearly 10,000 reviews. That's not a fluke. The four-hour water tour format gives you enough time to move around the coast without burning a whole day, and the intensity level lands somewhere in the middle — expect some sun and activity, but it's not an expedition. The price sits around $75, which is competitive for a half-day boat experience in Aruba. Most routes hit snorkeling spots and coastal sights that bigger operators skip, and the crew tends to keep group sizes manageable. Direct booking is available, so you skip the markup. If you want a water day that's more structured than renting gear on your own but less anonymous than the cruise-ship charters, this is the window.

What travelers are saying.

Steady

Low confidence

Travelers say Eduardo's Beach Shack delivers exceptionally fresh açaí bowls and smoothies at prices competitive with US standards, typically $12–16 per bowl. The line moves faster than it looks, and staff frequently remember repeat visitors' names and orders. You'll find the shack on the Palm Beach walkway between resorts—ideal for a post-walk snack or full breakfast. The limited covered seating area shows wear (bird droppings on picnic tables), but most grab-and-go to the sand anyway.

Standing out

Açaí bowls served with genuinely fresh fruit, firm bases when not premade, portions large enough to skip lunch until 3pm
78 mentions
“Best açaí I've had—fresh banana and strawberries over cold açaí and granola, nothing soupy”
Staff remember guests' names and usual orders after a single visit, maintain speed despite constant lines
14 mentions
“Steffi and Rodwyn greeted me daily, got my order right every time without asking”
Vegan and gluten-free options dominate the menu—tofu bowls, chickpea omelets, vegan tacos with GF shells all available
31 mentions
“My non-vegan husband loved the tofu scramble; three vegan tacos came loaded with beans and avocado”
Ahi tuna poke bowls arrive with generous raw tuna portions, coconut rice, and fresh mango at competitive pricing
22 mentions
“Poke bowl had more fresh tuna than Hawaii versions, warm sesame rice and firm avocado slices”
Location on the beachfront walkway makes it accessible from any Palm Beach hotel within a 10-minute walk
19 mentions
“Walked from St. Regis three separate mornings—worth the trek for quality this good”

Watch-outs

Seating area is dirty with unwashed tables, bird droppings, and only 6–8 spots not reserved for Playa Linda guests
8 mentions
“Picnic tables looked days-unwashed, vacant chairs had dirty napkins, cement area covered in bird mess”
Premade açaí bases sometimes arrive half-frozen or soup-melted, especially mid-morning when stock sits out
6 mentions
“My bowl was açaí soup by the time I got it; base was frozen solid at 9:30am another day”
Staff refuse minor customizations like adding blueberries or omitting fruits even when customer offers to pay extra
3 mentions
“Cashier refused a few extra blueberries in a cup despite my willingness to pay—poor flexibility”

Tips from travelers

Arrive before 9am if you want a pineapple-bowl presentation—whole pineapples sell out by early afternoon
Order açaí bowls over smoothies; multiple reviewers note bowls significantly outperform drinks
Park free at Palm Beach Mall and walk over rather than searching for resort parking

Maybe skip if: Skip Eduardo's if you need a sit-down meal with clean tables—the covered seating is minimal, often dirty, and mostly reserved for resort guests.

Asi es mi Peru

Asi es mi Peru occupies a casual spot near Paradise Beach Villas on Eagle Beach, and the #27 ranking among 155 restaurants in the area says something about how well Peruvian food translates here. The kitchen leans on ceviche and seafood with Latin crossover touches, and all four subratings hover near or above 4.7 — including a 4.8 for service, which is rare at this price tier. The atmosphere rating suggests they've kept the vibe right: not stuffy, not a scene, just a place where you can bring kids and still eat something interesting. Value comes in at 4.4, so you're not getting beach-shack pricing, but mid-range for what's on the plate. Over a thousand reviews keep the 4.7 overall steady, so consistency appears intact. If you've had enough of Dutch-Caribbean fusion or another mahi sandwich, this is the pivot.

Pega Pega Beach Bar and Grill

Pega Pega sits right on the sand at Manchebo Beach Resort on Eagle Beach, and the beachfront location is the main character. You're eating American, Caribbean, and seafood dishes with your feet practically in the water, which explains the 4.5 atmosphere rating and why it lands at #35 among the 155 restaurants in the Palm-Eagle Beach area. The service scores highest across the board at 4.6, and the kitchen holds its own at 4.3 — solid marks for a spot where the view could theoretically do all the heavy lifting. It's kid-friendly and mid-priced, so families show up alongside couples who want sunset tables without the fuss of a reservation. The value rating sits at 4.2, which tracks for beachfront real estate. If you want a table at prime time, get there early or accept that you might wait — no bookings means first-come seating.

The Bread Basket

The Bread Basket is a casual Dutch café on the Eagle Beach strip, just off J.E. Irasquin Boulevard. It landed #41 out of 155 restaurants in the area and earned a 2024 Travelers Choice badge, which isn't common at the budget end of the price spectrum. The atmosphere rating sits at 4.7 — higher than the food score — so expect a laid-back, forgiving vibe that works if you have kids in tow. The menu leans Dutch and café-standard international, meaning you'll find sandwiches, pastries, and breakfast plates alongside a few heartier options. Value ratings are strong at 4.5, and the dollar-sign price tier matches; portions tend to run generous for what you pay. Service moves at island pace but stays friendly. It's walk-in friendly, no reservations needed. If you're staying nearby and want something uncomplicated before or after the beach, it does the job without trying to be more than it is.

Eagle Beach

Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Aruba

Bucuti & Tara sits on the quieter stretch of Eagle Beach, and it's adults-only by design. That #1 ranking among Palm-Eagle Beach hotels isn't decorative — the numbers back it up across location, service, and cleanliness, all sitting at 4.9 out of 5. Sleep quality and rooms both land at 4.8, which makes sense once you see the property: low-density, beachfront, built for the kind of guest who wants the sand without the pool party soundtrack. Back-to-back Travelers Choice Best of the Best awards in 2025 and 2026 confirm what the nearly 11,000 reviews suggest: people return, and they tell others to book. The price level is top-tier, and the value subrating reflects that — still solid at 4.6, but you're paying for the category it occupies. Service scores mirror the location and cleanliness ratings, meaning the staff-to-guest ratio shows. If you want Eagle Beach access without family chaos and you're willing to spend accordingly, this is the benchmark property.

Palm Beach

Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

The Aruba Marriott sits on L.G. Smith Boulevard in Palm Beach, right where the high-rise strip meets the sand. It's a full-scale resort with a casino attached, so expect crowds, especially around the pool and lobby bars. The 4.7 cleanliness rating and 4.6 service score suggest the operation runs tight despite the size, and sleep quality holds at 4.5, which matters when you're paying top-tier rates. It ranks #20 out of 26 hotels in the Palm-Eagle Beach zone, so it's middle-of-the-pack for the area — the location and service scores pull it up, the value rating at 4.2 reflects what you're spending. If you want the Marriott reliability and don't mind resort-scale energy, it works. The beach access is the real asset here; Palm Beach is wide and swimmable, and you're walking distance to most of the strip's restaurants and bars.

Palm Beach

Barcelo Aruba - All Inclusive

Barceló Aruba sits on Palm Beach, the high-rise hotel strip on the northwest coast, and it's fully all-inclusive — drinks, meals, non-motorized watersports, the works. The 4.7 location score tells you what you're paying for: direct beach access and walking distance to the casinos, shops, and other resorts that make Palm Beach the busiest stretch of sand on the island. It ranks #5 among Noord hotels with over 12,000 reviews, so you're looking at volume and consistency more than boutique charm. Service and cleanliness both land above 4.3, which matters when you're dealing with buffet lines and pool crowds. Sleep quality and rooms sit at 4.2 and 4.1 — solid but not exceptional. The value subrating is the lowest at 3.9, which tracks for a top-tier all-inclusive on prime real estate. If you want to park yourself on Palm Beach and not think about meal planning or bar tabs, this does the job. Just know you're trading some refinement for convenience and location.

Passions On The Beach

Passions sits right on Eagle Beach, tables in the sand, waves at your feet. It's the #25 restaurant in Palm–Eagle Beach and holds a 2025 Travelers Choice, which tracks with the 4.9 atmosphere rating — sunset here is the main event. The kitchen does Caribbean, seafood, and international plates at the high end of the price range, and the 4.5 food score suggests they mostly deliver. Unlike The Flying Fishbone down the coast, Passions doesn't require reservations and welcomes kids, so it's looser and more forgiving if your timing shifts. Service scores well, value less so, which is expected when you're paying for the location. The trade-off is you're not getting Flying Fishbone's precision or exclusivity, but you also skip the booking stress and the adults-only rule. If you want toes-in-the-sand dining on Eagle Beach without the formality, this is the move. Arrive before sunset if the table matters.

Eagle Beach

Matthew's Beachside Restaurant

Matthew's sits right on Eagle Beach at the Casa del Mar resort, and it does what a lot of beachfront places try and fail to do — deliver solid food without leaning on the view. The kitchen runs Caribbean, seafood, and international standards, and the #50 ranking among Oranjestad restaurants is backed by consistently high marks across food, service, and atmosphere. That 4.5 atmosphere score isn't surprising given the beachfront setting, but the food rating matches it, which matters more. It's kid-friendly and doesn't require reservations, so it works for walk-ups and families looking for something a little more polished than a beach shack without the formality of a tasting menu. The mid-range pricing fits — expect to spend but not commit to a splurge. If you're staying on Eagle Beach or just planted there for the day, it's a straightforward lunch or dinner option that doesn't overthink itself.
