The Honeymoon

This is your post-wedding exhale—six days on Aruba built around sleep-in mornings, long sunset sails, and dinners where the ocean is close enough to touch. You'll stay at an adults-only resort on Eagle Beach, snorkel with sea turtles, get worked on at a proper spa, and avoid anything that requires an alarm clock or involves a crowd of strangers. One big splurge, zero rushing.

  1. Day 1

    Arrival & Settle In

    Afternoon

Check into Bucuti & Tara on Eagle Beach—adults-only, right on the sand, and built for exactly this kind of trip. Drop your bags, grab a drink, and spend the rest of the afternoon doing absolutely nothing productive.

    Evening

Walk the beach at sunset, then find a quiet dinner spot nearby. Tonight's about recovering from the flight and remembering you're married now.

  2. Day 2

    Snorkel & Sunset Sail

    Morning

Sleep in. Breakfast at the resort, then walk Eagle Beach—it's wide, soft, and never crowded. Bring a book you won't read.

    Afternoon

Hit the water for an easy snorkeling session—either straight off Eagle Beach or book a private boat with a captain who'll take you to the calm spots where sea turtles and parrotfish hang out. No crowds, no rushing.

    Evening

Book a sunset catamaran cruise—smaller group, open bar, and you'll sail the west coast while the sky turns pink and orange. This is the postcard moment you came for.

  3. Day 3

    Spa Day & Beachfront Dinner

    Morning

Book a couples massage at a beachside or oceanfront spa—skip the resort upsell and find a standalone spot where the sound of the water is part of the treatment. Eighty minutes minimum.

    Afternoon

Post-massage, float in the ocean or nap poolside. No agenda. If you're feeling ambitious, grab a paddleboard and explore the south coast's calm bays at your own pace.

    Evening

Splurge on dinner at a beachfront restaurant where the tables are in the sand and the fish is caught that morning. Dress up a little. Order the tasting menu. This is the indulgent moment.

  4. Day 4

    Private Island & Flamingo Photos

    Morning

Take the water taxi to Renaissance Island—it's the flamingo beach you've seen in every Aruba photo. Get there early, grab a palapa, and spend the morning with pink birds on white sand.

    Afternoon

Head back to the resort for lunch and a pool hang. You've earned another low-effort afternoon.

    Evening

Walk into town or drive to Oranjestad for a quieter dinner—something local, maybe waterfront, nothing fancy. End the night with a stroll along the harbor.

  5. Day 5

    Off-Road to the Natural Pool

    Morning

Book a guided UTV or ATV tour to Conchi, the natural pool on the northeast coast. You'll cross rocky desert trails, see cacti forests, and swim in a volcanic rock bowl where waves crash over the edge. It's the one big adventure day.

    Afternoon

Back to the resort by early afternoon. Shower off the dust, then hit the beach or pool for recovery time.

    Evening

Low-key dinner tonight—resort restaurant or somewhere walkable. You've done your exploring; now you coast.

  6. Day 6

Last Beach Morning & Departure Prep

    Morning

One last slow morning on Eagle Beach. Swim, read, do nothing. Check out whenever you have to, but milk the resort access until the last possible minute.

    Afternoon

Depending on your flight time, grab lunch in Oranjestad or near the airport. If you have time, swing by the California Lighthouse for a quick photo stop—it's on the way and takes ten minutes.

Know before you go

  • Bucuti & Tara is adults-only and books up fast—reserve your room as soon as you lock in dates.
  • Sunset sails fill quickly in high season; book your catamaran cruise at least a few days ahead.
  • Renaissance Island is only accessible to Renaissance hotel guests or day-pass holders—buy your pass in advance or stay there one night if you want guaranteed flamingo time.
  • The Natural Pool tour is rough and dusty—wear clothes you don't mind trashing, bring sunscreen, and skip it if either of you has back issues.
  • Eagle Beach is quieter than Palm Beach, which means fewer beachside bars and restaurants within walking distance—rent a car or budget for taxis if you want to explore.
  • Couples massages at beachfront spas book out on weekends; call ahead or book online before you arrive.
  • Aruba's trade winds blow strong most afternoons—mornings are calmer for paddleboarding, snorkeling, and anything that involves floating.
  • Tipping isn't automatic at most restaurants; 15-20% is standard if service charge isn't included.
